Most certainly. But most likely not in the way you think of “talking.” We don't sit down for coffee or tea and chat. And we don't talk over the phone. And there is no email between here and there. But I do have a way of posing questions, and she responds. And she has a way of initiating information transfers. That might be the best way to look at this: as “information transfer.” I hope you don't think I'm making all this up -- the Worlds of Atria are simply to big and vast for me to be doing that.
How long have you been working on the story? The door to Atria was first opened in January of 2002. My destiny came calling exactly one year earlier, in 2001. But I didn't recognize it then. Like Ahmenar, I ignored the signs of mounting ossayudaya.
Do you believe in time travel?Well, in a sense, we're all time travellers, aren't we? We all age and grow. But we have no control over the velocity of our motion in time. I don't believe it is possible to go "back" in time, though it is possible to look back in time. Ask any astronomer about this -- they're always looking back in time. Remember: time flies like an arrow.
