The end is in sight.
The end of the age of oil. And that's a big deal. It was on Atria. And it will be here. We run out of oil in the volumes needed to support our current way of life in less than fifty years.
This will happen just as we (western culture) succeed at wiping out all knowledge of pre-industrial ways of life.
A new way of life will emerge. Either one that we choose. Orthe one that is forced on us.
We have perhaps 50 years to define a new way of living.
The Atrians failed to figure one out (a new way of living) within their 50 year window. It took them another 2,000 years to do so.
Let's not take 2,000 years.
