I am here to tell the story of Ahmenar Ishtam. I have been asked to do so. His is a story that will come to have meaning to you, on many levels. This is a story about more than a single man -- it is the story of human beings and the Worlds they create. It is a story about crucial turning points in human history. You live in a world that stands before such a crucial turning point. And you don't see it coming. We don't know if you world will navigate that turn with ease, or with great pain. It is our hope that the story of Ahhmenar's world, of my world, will make a difference in yours.
We have enlisted the author to tell this story in a way that works in your world. I know this sounds strange, one of the “characters” of a story talking to you about the author in this way, but this is The Way It Is and we invite you to read more about our working relationship -- there is material about this elsewhere on this site. But I digress. We have asked the author to enlist the help of others -- artists, publists, and others -- to bring this story to a wide audience. The work is demanding and time consuming. You can feel a sales pitch coming, can’t you :-) Here it is:
The author needs to raise a significant amount of money to keep this project going. He has decided to do that by selling signed copies of pre-release editions of the book while it is still in development. He expects that these will become valuable collector’s editions. We ask that you examine our offering of pre-publication products. We request that you purchase one of the various products. If you do, you will join the family of people who have chosen to bring the story of Ahmenar Ishtam to life in our world. And in so doing make a difference to the future.
